School Planning and Reporting
Each year we are required to develop a 3 year plan which outlines the targets that we want to achieve in key school areas. The Strategic Plan is approved by the Ministry of Education each year.
The annual report is a further legislative requirement where our school reports back to the Ministry of Education on the goals we have achieved along with an independently audited set of accounts. We are required to have this to the Ministry of Education by May 31 each year and it is then updated on our website.
Strategic Planning

The Winchester School board engaged with the community through various channels, including Pasifika Talanoa, Hui Whānau, Crew Crescent community BBQs, and Open afternoons during Terms 2 and 3 of 2023.
The leadership and Board of Trustees (BOT) carefully analysed the feedback gathered from these engagements, utilising frameworks such as the National Education Learning Priorities (NELPs), Ka Hikitia, the Pacific Education Plan and the Foundation Curriculum.
2024 Improvement Plan

The New Zealand Government is committed to continually building and developing a world class education. The National Education Learning Priorities (NELPS) set out the priorities and objectives of achieving change across our system, reflective of a culturally rich and diverse Aotearoa.
At the heart of the NELPS, sit three core components: wellbeing, equity and inclusion.
