Our Aims

  • To ensure that Māori culture and language is valued and experienced by all students. 
  • Māori learners succeed as Māori. (See Ka Hikitia)
  • To develop an environment that reflects our culture.
  • To consult with our whānau each year on what needs to be achieved. 








Experiences

  • New students and whānau are welcomed through mihi whakatau at the start of each term.
  • Kapa Haka. (Te Ope Kura)
  • Te Rangimarie marae visits.
  • Te Marae o Hine visits. (You tube video here)
  • Learning Rangitāne stories.
  • Learning from Level 1 and Level 2 in the curriculum. Te Reo Māori in English medium schools. 
  • Whānau classes - Tuakana / Teina.
  • Learning Pepeha.
